Singapore's employment pass has been raised to 4500 dollar from today

The salary threshold for Singapore's employment pass has been raised to 4500 dollar from today, according to the Singapore Lianhe Morning Post.

For the first time, the government has set a minimum salary for foreign employees in specific industries, such as those working in the financial industry, with a starting salary of at least 5000 yuan from December. The S permit, which is applicable to medium-skilled workers, will be raised to 2500 yuan per month from October.

At the same time, the minimum monthly wage for medium-skilled workers will be raised from 2400 yuan to 2500 yuan from October 1. From May 1 next year, foreign employees who renew their contracts will also have to meet the new threshold.
